National Orgasm Day

So my Mum will be freaking out when she sees the name of this post but I thought in honour of National Orgasm Day (which an email from Ann Summers informed me was today) I would talk about the product that has been giving me a make up orgasm recently!!

So I did mention this beauty in another post but I thought it deserved a post all for itself. I bought the YSL Rouge Volupte in duty free at Rhodes airport and was feeling so very spendy. At the time the €30 price tag didn't bother me but on reflection that is a hell of a lot of money! BUT it is completely worth it, this is by far the best lipstick I have ever ever owned! I got the colour 33, which is a beautiful pinky corally colour with a little sparkle, my favourite lipstick colour. The formulation of this is unbelievable and I have genuinely had so many compliments when I have been wearing this.

The lipstick itself is obviously fantastic but it's the packaging that has got me. It is honestly the most beautiful thing I own, I just want to frame it and hang it somewhere so I can just stare at it forever. I know some of you are probably thinking I need to chill out about this lipstick and go find a man to celebrate national orgasm day with but who needs men when you have a lipstick this beautiful??

Please let me guys know what is giving you a make up orgasm day!

What Is All The Fuss About?? They're Real Push Up Liner Review

I am not an eyeliner girl, partly because I seem to have a horrendously shaky hand and also because who has a million hours in the morning to carefully apply eye liner, I for one would rather a lie in. But when I heard about this new release from Benefit I have to admit I was fairly excited. This is a gel eyeliner in a pen form, meaning it comes out of this little nib which is suppose to make application easy.

Sounds great right? On first use this was so easy to apply and I did the best cat flick in the history of cat flicks, ish. I know things are looking good, BUT and this is a big ass but every other time I have used this I just haven't been impressed. The formula of this isn't great, it does stay on for a long time which I like but it can also be really flakey sometimes when you first put it on and sometimes it will just fall onto my lashes. It has at times smudged onto my eyelids as well, but in this hot weather I don't totally blame the product. That however isn't my main problem, my main issue is that this is not in anyway shape or form easy to use. I'll admit sometimes it is easier to use than others, but I haven't been able to consistently create a nice line with this.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't hate this product. It's not like I am going to stomp back to a Benefit counter and demand a refund, it isn't that bad. However I did have high hopes for this and everyone was raving about this which got me even more excited! I know I am in the very small minority with my opinion on this product so if you guys have tried this and love it please give me some tips/advice or anything because I do really want to love this. Plus I don't want to have wasted nearly £20 on an OK product!

Well rant over about that! Hope this has been helpful for anyone out there considering purchasing this, I think the key thing with some products is not to believe the hype! Please give my little blog a follow on Bloglovin so you don't miss any posts, I will be back later in the day with another post celebrating a special day! Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Blog Update

Yes, this is my 3rd post of the day but I am having a very bloggy day today!

So I really want to do some new things with my blog, it has basically looked exactly the same since I first started it and I am getting slightly bored of its layout. I am not very good with using blogger or anything computer related to be honest, I can just about post blogs!! So this may take a while and a lot of help from my Boyfriend.

So over the next couple of weeks I am going to be playing around and doing new things, changing things, maybe doing some things wrong so please let me know if there is anything you see that you like/don't like.

I have already changed it ever so slightly so let me know what you think of this because I'm not too sure! Ok so I think this is enough blogging for one day so I am off to enjoy the sunshine, hope you all are too!

Pretty Things I Want

I feel like there is far too many new beauty bits and bobs out at the moment that I really want to get my hands on. I am being very good with my money at the moment so none of these new launches I have bought but come September I am going to go on one hell of a spending spree!!

Body Shop Body Sorbet in Pink Grapefruit
1. I love body shop. 2. I love the pink grapefruit scent and 3. I love sorbet! Basically this is a dream product in my books. I think every single blogger has tried this except me and it is making me very sad. I have been lusting after one of these since I saw them start popping up on blogs earlier in the year. I imagine these will be amazing in every scent I think they also do Moringa, Strawberry and Satsuma (they are just the ones I remember).  These are perfect for summertime so it would be rude to not get my hands on one of these before summer is over, right?

Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet
Staying on the sorbet front I also saw this little pot of joy in the Body Shop. From what I know this seems to be a daily moisturiser which is similar to the body sorbet. This is a new item in the already existing Vitamin E range which I am already a massive fan off so I have very high hopes for this when I finally get my hands on it.

Jo Malone Silk Blossom Cologne

I'm not sure how new this is but it is limited edition so I am guessing it is a fairly recent addition to the line. I considered buying this at duty free back in June but for some stupid unknown reason I decided against it and I really regret it. This is probably my favourite of all the Jo Malone scents and I will be very upset if I don't get this both it is discontinued!!

Charlotte Tilbury Beach Sticks
I'm sorry but are these not the most beautiful make up item you have ever seen? The packaging is to die for and the product itself looks so amazing! I have never tried anything from Charlotte Tilbury but I literally want to buy one of these so badly! The one that I think looks the loveliest is Ibiza. The colour is so lovely and bronzey, it is gorgeous!! I am basically speechless about them they are gorgeous! Have I said gorgeous and beautiful enough?

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain
I hadn't really heard much about this until a few weeks ago and now it seems like every single person owns one of these and I really want to join the club! I haven't even seen these in the flesh yet, just seen them on various blogs and YouTube, but from what I have seen these look awesome! They look super pigmented, glossy and moisturising, what more could you ask for?

So those are some of the new products on the market that I am lusting after. I reckon within the next couple of weeks I will probably pick up the body shop goodies and Revlon lipgloss. The more high end stuff however will probably just stay on my list of things I want.  Please give me a little follow on Bloglovin, every new follower makes me really happy! Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Nails Of The Week #1

This summer for me has definitely been about pastels. I am loving pastel coloured clothes, accessories and also nails!

This week on my nails I have been wearing the L'oreal Color Riche in Menthe Glace. This is a really pretty pastely minty blue green colour, I know I am so good at describing colours! Anyway I think this colour is so pretty and I am absoloutely obsessed with it! Formula wise this isn't the best, it tends to start to chip after only a couple of days but for me, the touch ups are worth it for the pretty colour!

Lazy Girl Make Up Must Haves

So as much as I don't like to admit it I am a very lazy person. It takes a lot for me to get out of bed before 9 (I really mean 10) and even more for me to move off the sofa if I have a day off. This laziness can sometimes also apply to make up so when I am having a very lazy morning these are some products that I like to use if I want a couple extra minutes in bed.

Shadow Sticks
These little sticks of goodness are so super easy to use and just go on so quick. The ones I like are the Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks.  Lots of brands do versions of this, I know By Terry have some amazing ones as do Make Up Forever. I am on a budget though so these ones from Rimmel are perfect for me. First up they are really nice and creamy so apply amazingly and are really easy to blend. These take no effort to apply and I just blend these with my finger. When I am feeling so lazy that I don't even want to blend eyeshadow I just use these as eyeliners, which they are great as too.

Cream Shadows
If shadow sticks aren't your things then cream shadows are fab too. Again, loads of brands do really lovely cream shadows but the ones I love are the Maybelline Color 24HR Tattoo. I know everyone raves about these but they really are great. I have so many colours and I use them all the time. I don't even use a brush with these, just swipe them over my lids with my finger and then blend them out. These are so easy and simple to apply but look really nice and also super pigmented.

Cheek Tints
Now on the cheek tint front Benefit to some amazing products, which are again super easy and quick to apply. Most of the them have little brushes on which you can just brush onto your cheeks and blend with my finger. The one I have been loving at the moment though is the Rimmel Stay Blushed! Liquid Cheek Tint in Sunkissed Cherry. This tint is a little different because it is in a tube and is a sort of mousse texture. I just squeeze the tiniest amount of this onto my hand and then just apply with my fingers. This is so so so pigmented and you literally only need the very smallest amount so use cautiously.

Cheek Sticks
Now these are definitely my new favourite thing! I do love a good stick product and I am not sure why? I love the Topshop Glow Stick in Spotlight. This particular one is a highlighter and is actually one of my favourite highlighters of the moment. I literally just rub this stick on my cheek bones and then blend out with my finger. I know loads of brands do versions of this, and not just highlighters. I am totally lusting over the Charlotte Tilbury colour sticks, they look so awesome!!

Balm Sticks
I know, I know, I am crazy for sticks!! But balm sticks are literally the easiest things, from Clinique Chubby Sticks to Revlon Balms all of them are some of the simplest lip products out there. I particularly love the Jelly Pong Pong Lip Balm in Red. If you want a really simple red lip this is the perfect thing, you could probably apply this without even using a mirror if you were feeling particularly crazy!

So this is my lazy make up look! I have used the Scandaleyes shadow sticks, the Rimmel cheek tint, Topshop glow stick and the Jelly Pong Pong lip balm! Excuse my disgusting post gym bun!

So I think that is about it for my lazy beauty product picks. I will be back again tomorrow so please follow me on Bloglovin to check that out. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

P.S. As you can see I took photos in a different location today and I think I like it! But I am not 100% sure so let me know what you guys think of the photos in this blog and what you like/don't like about them.

The Because I Needed It Haul

So I am on a spending ban currently, and except for 2 expensive slip ups I have done pretty well but yesterday I realised I needed some things (well sort of) so I had no choice but to run down to the nearest Boots and pick up a few things!

OK so to be honest the only thing I actually needed were these Boots Cotton Wool Double Faced Round Pads. I use these everyday for my Garnier cleanser and also my toner and I had run out so I did actually need to pick up some more. These are my favourite pads to use because they are double sided and are stitched together so they don't end up falling to pieces whilst you are using them which I hate!!

Next up was a bit of a random purchase. I think my eyelashes are pretty good at being curled so I don't tend to use eyelashes curlers but when I saw these bright pink Models Own Eyelash Curlers I couldn't resist picking them up! I mean seriously! Bright pink! I am going to try and use these a bit more and hopefully they will give me amazing curled lashes.

I had a mini explosion on Thursday with my current eye cream (which I talked about in my skincare routine) so I had completely run out and decided that I needed eye cream in my life so had to get a new one. I have been thinking about getting the Kiehls Avocado one but I couldn't quite bring myself to spend £20 on it so I settled for the Soap And Glory Youthful Illuminating Eye Cream. I love the packaging for Soap and Glory and this little silver tub is super cute. The eye cream itself seems pretty thick, which I like. I haven't had a chance to really try it out but I shall keep you updated! This does contain some anti aging stuff which I don't really need but I don't think it is ever too early to start fighting wrinkles!!

This hot weather is turning me into a complete oily mess and I am hating it! I don't tend to use powder normally because I don't really need it but boy do I need it now! I thought about just picking up a cheap one but I had heard so many good things about Soap and Glory One Heck Of A Blot that I thought I would give it a go. This is just a translucent powder which I have been using for all over my face as a setting powder. From the few times I have used it I have definitely seen a difference oil wise so I have very high hopes for this!!

There you go, that is a little insight into what I bought yesterday! I will be back tomorrow with the post I was going to post today (if that makes sense) so follow me on Bloglovin so you don't miss that! Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Make Up Revolution Sugar And Spice Blush Palette Review

So I am firmly on the Make Up Revolution party bus and loving every minute of it! Earlier this week I reviewed one of the salvation eye shadow palettes and now I have moved onto one of the 2 blush palettes. I ended up purchasing both the blush palettes but I am reviewing this one first because it is the one I have been using the most, so here goes!

This palette is full of 8 pink toned blushers. The first 2 colours in the palette (top left) are still pink toned but are very brown, really nice for contouring (especially the nose and bottom lip). The next 4 blushers are all matte pinks, ranging from bright pink to a more purple toned pink. The final 2 colours are both baked, one a highlighter and the other a blusher.

Overall I think this palette is very pretty. If you like a more muted blush colour this isn't really going to be a firm favourite, but it is always fun to play around with bright colours. These do go on very pigmented so a light touch is needed when applying and sometimes you have to spend a bit of time blending it out.

I am not really a fan of the highlighter in the palette, it is far to white which just leaves your cheekbones looking weird! Overall though I don't have many complaints about this palette, the colours are pretty, they apply nicely and stay on for a fair amount of time. Obviously they aren't the best blushers out there but for only £6 for a palette of 8 blushers it is a great way to built up a good collection.

I still have a few more Make Up Revolution products to review so make sure you give me a follow on Bloglovin so you don't miss them. What of their products have you used and enjoyed? I'm always after a good recommendation! I will be back again tomorrow where we will be talking about lazy make up products. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

My Favourite Summer Lipsticks (And One Lipgloss!)

It is far to say that we are definitely in summer! The weather has been lovely for so long now and when it is this hot I can not stand wearing make up so my routine has basically been concealer, eyebrows, eyeliner, mascara, cream blush and then LIPSTICK. We all know I am a massive lipstick junkie, I have an eyewatering amount, so I thought I would share with you some of the ones I have been loving this summer,

Topshop Lips In Alibi
I picked this up in May on a shopping trip to London and it has been a firm favourite ever since. I tend to have trouble with nudes but this seems to be an almost perfect peachy nude lipstick. It is fairly sheer, so if you want a more opaque nude this probably isn't the lipstick for you, but I think it is great to just put on when you are in a hurry and picking a lipstick is just too much effort!!

MAC Amplified Lipstick in Chatterbox
This lipstick has and will always have a very special place in my heart. I heard Tanya Burr talk about this ages ago and this was my first ever MAC purchase. I am now on my second stick, and I think this will be an eternal repurchase. This is just the prettiest pink colour, it gives a simple make up look a lovely pop of colour and looks great on so many skin tones! This is one of the amplified lipsticks so it does have a really lovely sheen to it as well.

MAC Cremesheen Glass in Playful Petal
Unfortunately this is a limited edition lipgloss but I just had to include this. I have powered my way through this tube of lipgloss at an insane pace and I'm not even sorry. This is lovely on it's own but it is also great over other lipsticks to give a bit more glittery sparkle. My only problem with this is that it is limited edition so I am not going to be able to repurchase it (cue tears). If you guys know of any dupes for this lipgloss please do let me know though because I can't not have this in my life.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous
So I know everyone is loving the matte Revlon balms but I like the recycle so I have pulled out a balm stain from last summer which I hated and have managed to make it work. As a ginger girl orange lipsticks don't really work for me but over the last couple of weeks I have been feeling brave and tried to make it work with this balm and I have to say I like it! These balms are all fantastic, so pigmented and nourishing on the lips. This colour is a really flattering orange for me and also smells really nice and minty.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 03 Hot Pepper
I am still loving these things! I have been using this almost solely when I have wanted a red lip because 1, it is the nicest red! 2, it stays on for hours (and I mean hours), and 3, I am loving a matte lip. I have raved about these enough so I am not going to say anymore except if you don't own one, go buy one!

So they are the lipsticks I have been loving recently. What lipsticks have you been loving this summer? Make sure to give me a follow on Bloglovin so you never miss a post, and come back tomorrow for a review of one of the Make Up Revolution Blush Palettes. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading (I'm off to enjoy the sun!),

Make Up Revolution Salvation Palette What You Waiting For? Review

I feel like there is a lot of hype surronding Make Up Revolution. When the brand first launched I think every beauty blogger was loving at least one of their products, and I was no different. I think I hauled my first order back in May and I love 2 out of 3 of the products, which is good! So when I started seeing some new palettes pop up on all my favourite beauty blogs I couldn't resist placing a little order. I did a haul for all of these palettes a couple of weeks back and now I feel like I have used them all enough to give them a proper review!

So out of all the palettes I purchased the What You Waiting For? Eyeshadow palette has definitely been the one I have been leaning for the most. The palette consists of 6 matte colours and 12 shimmery colours, all of which are lovely colours and nicely pigmented. This is a really lovely neutral warm toned palette.

This is a really nice collection of colours for daytime but you can also create some lovely smokey looking night time looks. So far my favourite colours are Scary Conversation, which is just the most beautiful gold bronze colour which I love for an all over lid colour. I like combining that with the matte Brand New Fans in the crease for a really pretty daytime look.

I also think for a really fun smokey eye Do It Alone and Sex Chromosome are a fabulous combination. The pinky purpley undertones in both give it a slightly different edge than a standard brown/black smokey look.

I think overall I prefer the matte colours slightly more, they just blend a little nicer and also have less fall out. I am very impressed by the palette as a whole though. It comes in at only £6 which I think is such a massive bargain for 18 shadows!! I have a couple of more palettes from Make Up Revolution which I shall be reviewing in the near future so watch out for that!

I hope you enjoyed this review and I shall be back tomorrow talking about my favourite summer lipsticks. Please give me a follow on Bloglovin and I'll see you all tomorrow. Hope you enjoy and thanks for reading,

2 True Brand Focus

So I decided to do a little monthly series here where I basically review a lot of products from 1 brand. I decided to start off with a brand that I had barely ever heard of, 2 True. For me this is the type of brand I just walk quickly past whilst trying to get to Sleek. But last month I decided to stop at the little counter thing and actually have a look at their products. I ended up buying 6 of their items and here are my thoughts!!

Smooth Matte Pressed Powder in 001, £1.99

I really wanted to get this in a translucent colour but there was any so I went for the only shade that was there 001. It is pretty much translucent so it has done the job. I have been using this recently as a setting powder as I tend to get oilier over summer. Now I don't mind this as a setting powder, it does keep my make up in place for longer but it can go slightly cakey after a while. That isn't really my problem with it though, what I don't like is the smell!! It literally smells like old lady make up if you can imagine what that smells like?

3 in 1 Concealer in 03, £1.99

I had actually heard Scared Toast talk about this concealer and she has said pretty good things so I was really excited to try this out. Unfortunately they only had the shade 03 in my Superdrug but I went with it and have tried to make it work. It is little too dark for me but I have still be using it and I have really enjoyed it. The concealer provides really good coverage and I have been using it for both blemishes and under my eyes. This does tend to disappear off your face by the end of the day but overall for the price it is pretty good.

Crystal Lipgloss in 02,  £1.99

I have no words other than NO for this!! It looks really pretty in the tube and I was really excited to give it a go but the first time I opened and used this it cut my lip!! The applicator is like hard and sharp! I haven't even attempted to give this another go because I am scared to harm myself again!!

Plumptuous Lipgloss in 08, £1.99
This is suppose to plump up your lips and leave them looking pretty and massive! This does make your lips look bigger and is a really pretty colour. I have used this quite a bit actually and unlike the other one it has a good doe foot applicator, so there is no worry about it stabbing me! The only problem with this lipgloss is that it is fairly sticky which isn't great on windy days because then I get a horrible hair stuck to lip situation.

Wow! Volume Mascara in 1 Black, £3
So this was the most expensive thing in the line but at only £3 it is still cheap! I really like this for lengthening my lashes, it makes them look really nice and long but tends to clump them together, so I end up with 3 really long lashes. As much as I like long lashes I would prefer more lashes at a smaller length. I have played around with this and found that although it isn't awful I have other mascaras that I much prefer.

Twist 'n' Line Eye Definer in 03 Blue, £1.99
They had this product in about 4 or 5 colours but I decided to go for blue because I don't actually own a blue liner so thought I would go for that one. This is fine, it isn't really bad but the pigmentation isn't very good and it doesn't stay on for very long. You have to really go for it when you apply this if you want to get a good level of colour and then it doesn't really stay on for that long, literally rubbed off after 2 hours. I'm not going to chuck this away but it also isn't going to be something that I am leaning to regularly.

Ok, so that is my reviews on 2True. Overall I was pleasantly surprised, except for the first lipgloss none of the products were bad and for under 2 quid they are pretty good. I will be keeping all of these in my make up collection and be persisting with them!! Hope you enjoyed this 'brand focus' post and I will be back tomorrow with a review of one of the Make Up Revolution Salvation Palettes (which i'm loving). Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Recent Beauty Favourites

So I was going to do a June favourites but we are over half way through the month now so I think I might be slightly too late for that party. Instead I thought I would just talk about some things I have been loving recently, so right through from the beginning of June till now. I'd grab a cup of tea because I think this could be a long one!!

Tangle Teezer
I feel like everyone and their mum has one of these and I didn't jump on the tangle teezer train for ages but I am so glad I have. This is probably the best brush, if you can call it that, that I have ever used. It is so gentle on your hair but also gets out every knot, tangle and anything else you may have in your hair! I use this on my hair both wet and dry and it works amazingly both ways. I can't imagine every going back to a traditional type brush after using this.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
Since getting all the Naked palette I have developed quite the attachment to Naked 3, all the colours in there are just me colours and 9 times out of 10 I will always reach for that one. I was feeling daring though and when I went to Greece I decided to leave Naked 3 at home and bring Naked 2 away with me. Having that as my only palette to use made me realise how lovely it actually is. I tried to mess around with the palette and use every colour but I did end up with 3 favourites. My first favourite is Half Baked, which is a lovely coopery bronze colour. I think this is perfect for an all over lid colour. I also really loved Snakebite and YDK which are both awesome for in the crease. I think Naked 2 is quite a sexy palette if that makes sense? So it was a nice change from the pink girliness of Naked 3.

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration After Sun Coconut and Papaya Fragrance
I think I have harped on about this after sun quite enough but I genuinely really really love it! Aftersun is obviously a must for post sun skin but I love this so much because it just smells so good! Over my 2 holidays this year I have managed to get through nearly a whole bottle and even now that I am back I have carried on using it because it smells amazing!! If you guys want a great aftersun I would recommend trying this out.

No7 Skin Illuminator Radiance Boosting Beauty Fluid
So this is a bit of a different product for me. My mum loves No7 and she got this little sample size free in a goodie bag with a few other products. I decided she wouldn't use that so snatched it away for myself! As the name suggests this is an illuminator/highlighter thingy. I have been using this in 2 ways and love it. So first up I just apply this after primer but before foundation for an all over glowy look. I have also just used this as a liquid highlighter and applied it to my cheekbones over foundation, both ways leave you with beautiful glowing skin!! I think this product will be great for autumn/ winter time as well when your skin has lost its summer glow.

MAC Plink and MAC Pussywillow
So separately these are both favourites but together they are my most favourite lip combo at the moment! As you can see the lipstick looks a little bit worse for wear thanks to an exploding nail varnish whilst I was travelling! I picked Plink up in May when I was on the hunt for a perfect nude. I have never had much luck with nude lipsticks, they tend to make me look like I have just rubbed concealer all over my lips, not a good look! This lipstick however has the perfect amount of nudeness and pinkness to make my lips look lush (well I think so anyway). This lipgloss is from the Sharon Osbourne collection and is just the loveliest shimmery nude. Again I love this on its own but when I put it over Plink, wow! My lips look good (I think!).

So those are my most recent beauty favourites. I will definitely be back doing the regular monthly favourites post for July I just need to get my organisation skills together! Please come back tomorrow where I shall be doing a 'brand focus' post where I review loads of products from 1 brand! Give my little blog a follow on Bloglovin, hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,
