Lush Haul

If you know me then you will find this next statement quite funny. But recently I have been 'working out' a lot more. I joined a gym at the beginning of the month and I'm on a mission to budge some excess pounds. Now so far exercise hasn't been my friend, it makes my legs and whole body super achey, which I guess means I am working hard? But anyway I have been loving having a bath at the moment so I paid a little visit to Lush to pick up some bath goodies!! Before we begin I am so rubbish at describing scents, sorry!!

This was a repurchase and it is also maybe one of my favourite lush products ever! It is so super cute and has a lovely lavender smell to it which is super relaxing. I use this one when I am feeling really stressed and it is perfect for a pre bedtime bath.

Going to be honest bought this solely because it has a rainbow on it haha! This has Ylang Ylang and Orange flower in it, which leaves the bubble bar with a beautiful fresh floral bar. With this you run the tap and then crumble it into the running water to create some nice bubbles. I have never tried one of Lush's bubble bars before so I am excited to try this and I also reckon it will make my bath a lovely fun colour.

This just smells like something I want to rub all over my body! I think it is like shea butter and coconut smell, but whatever it is it smells lovely rich and luxurious. The lady in Lush said this is good for dry skin which I seem to be getting loads recently, fingers crossed this helps!

I'm sorry this is in the shape of a heart, could it be any cuter? Now this might sound strange but I feel like this smells like love? Very romantic and floral, if you understand? I think this has rose in somewhere. I will be using this alone but I think it would very nice to use if you enjoy bathing with a partner!

So there is my little Lush haul. I have been rubbish with posting at the moment but I am trying to get myself into more of a schedule so hopefully I will have loads of posts up very shortly. Please give me a little follow on Bloglovin, hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Revlon Photo Ready Cream Blush In Coral Reef Review

At the moment I seem to be going crazy for cream blushers, and in the cream blush stakes the revlon photo ready cream blushes seem to up there with the best.

Last summer I picked up Pinched, which was a beautiful coral pink colour and it was a definite staple in my summer make up bag and I used it nearly everyday and this summer Coral Reef is my top pick. For me the name is slightly confusing, I wouldn't really describe this blusher as coral at all! It is a more red orange colour.  When I first saw this in the pan I was a bit scared, I didn't realise how bright it was (I ordered it online so hadnt seen the colour in the flesh). My scaredness was short lived though because it actually doesn't go on the cheeks too bright at all.

I have been applying this with the Real Techniques Stippling Brush which is just the best brush for cream products. This is perfect for just warming up your complexion and giving you a beautiful summer glow.

I think this is the best cream blusher out there in the drugstore at the moment. So everyone grab your purses, pop your sandals on and run down to Boots and grab this while the sun is still hanging around!!

I am about to go and do a bit of healthy baking so if you want a post on that let me know! Give me a follow on Bloglovin so you can stay up to date with all my posts. I will be back again this week with a little Lush haul!! Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

What I Got With My Boots Points

I've had about £25 sitting on my Boots Advantage Card for months now and after much umming and ahhing (is that how you spell it?) I finally decided on the Real Techniques Eye Starter Set . I love the Real Techniques brushes but have never tried any of the eye brushes so I thought I would get this and give them all a good try, so here is what the set consists of,

Base Shadow Brush
So this has to be one of my favourite Real Techniques brushes ever! This is the perfect brush for just blending eye shadow. This is lovely and fluffy but at the same time it is stable enough that you can really get in there and properly blend.

Deluxe Crease Brush
What I love about Real Techniques brushes the most is that you can use them for so many different things! I haven't even gone anyway near my eyes with this little brush I have just used it for concealer. The shape of the brush means that it is perfect for getting under the eyes and also blending concealer around my nose and various other places!

Brow Brush
Up until now I have been using a little brow brush from Topshop which has been good but tends to be a little too flimsy. This brush is lovely and firm, the angle of it is perfect for really getting into those brows. This is a little too thick to work as an eye liner brush but at a push you may be able to use this for that!

Accent Brush and Pixel Point Eyeliner Brush
I haven't had a chance to use either of these yet but both of these look really good. I really like the look of accent brush which I think I may use for highlighting my inner corner. I am not  completely sure what I am going to use these 2 little ones for, any ideas?

So that is what I bought with my Boots points, what is the last thing you guys got with your points? Let me know below and please follow me on Bloglovin so you never miss a post! Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed,

The Colour Of Summer

Before I go any further who else is so excited that bake off is back? I am!!  I think I already have my favourites and some of the cakes last night looked awesome! Now that I have expressed my excitement for cake I can move on to talking about orange. This summer I have had a real think for orange make up wise so I thought I would share with you some of the orange products I have been loving this summer.

Bourjois Cream Blush in 02
This is my first cream blush from Bourjois and I have to say I am very impressed. In summer you can't go wrong with cream blusher and this one is really lovely. The colour is a beautiful coral orange colour which can be really easily built up for a brighter look but also can be used lightly for a more muted look. Texture wise this is really nice, it blends really easily and has a powder finish. Overall if you are looking at getting a cream blush, you should really give this little one a go.

MUA Blusher in Bon Bon
Staying on the blusher front I have also been loving this MUA blusher. I think MUA own it in terms of cheap blushers, they are so pigmented it is crazy!! I really like this one because it has a really lovely orange tone to it. Apply this lightly to the cheeks and it gives you a lovely orangey glow.

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya
Now this has been a firm favourite since last year. I think these lip butters in general are awesome, the colour is really nice and pigmented but they also feel lovely on your lips. I don't actually know what colour papaya's are but I imagine they must be a similar colour to this lip butter? This is a lovely light orange coral colour which is perfect for a day time orange lip. Gives your lips that your lips but oranger look!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain in Rendezvous
If you are after a brighter orange lip, but not too crazy then this is perfect. This is a pretty true orange colour but not so bright that you look stupid! Again the texture of these balm stains are amazing and creamy but have such great colour pigmentation as well. These also smell so good, sometimes I just want to give them a lick!

MUA Eyeshadow Trio (Not Sure Of Name)
Another MUA goody. I have a few of these trio's but this one is my favourite and I really like this colour in particular which is a lovely coopery orange. These are suprisingly pigmented for the price and also last for a fairly long time, with a primer. This colour is a lovely all over lid colour and looks beautiful with a dark brown blended into the crease.

So they are all my orange products, can I just say how pretty are the flowers in my photo, I got them from Aldi for only £2!! I'm off to have a little chill out now, I had a hard afternoon of spending money so need a little rest now! Please give me a follow on Bloglovin so you can keep up to date with posts. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Primed And Ready To Go

I love primer and I am not sure why? Primer is just one of my favourite beauty products and something I will never miss out of my routine. If you read my blog a lot you will know I am in an intense love affair with one particular primer, the Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser but I must confess, I am having affair!!

Since the Pixi Flawless and Poreless Primer* strolled into my life I have found myself using this more and more, which has meant the poor tea tree one has be sent to the bottom of my make up bag, unused and unloved. I love a good primer so whenever I first try out a new one I go in with high expectations and it was no different with this one. I am a complete Pixi virgin so using one of their products for the first time was obviously very exciting.

The consistency of this product is very similar to the Benefit Porefessional, in that it feels creamy and soft, unlike my old favourite which feels much more like a gel. As the names suggests both of the primers are aimed at combatting pores, making them look smaller to creat ea more flawless make up look. Both of the primers do this very well, in my opinion the Pixi one slightly better though.

Obviously you want primer to make your make up last longer, and both are fab at doing that! Over this hot period of weather I have been experimenting with both and I have to say there is very little between them in terms of how good my make up looks at the end of the day. My only slight complaint about the Pixi one is that it does tend to make my T Zone a little oily throughout the day, luckily I have normal to dry skin but I think if you had oily skin this primer might not work for you.

I can't actually put my finger on what I like so much about this Pixi primer but something about it is just fab!! It definitely helps my make up stay on longer, but also creates a lovely smooth base for make up application. Now before we get ahead of ourselves I am not suggesting completely dumping my Tea Tree primer, that would be stupid! But I think for a while I might just be primer polygamous!!

July Favourites

I unfortunately missed last months favourite because I'm lazy and unorganised but I have one for you this month and I'm going to get straight into it because I have a lot to get through!!

July has been quite a chilled out month for me, I went on holiday, the weather has been amazing and I'm off Uni so it's fair to say aside from work I have had quite a lot of spare time to occupy. This time is mostly filled by blogging, reading blogs and watching YouTube but also with magazines. My personal favourite magazine of the month has been Glamour. It was on offer for only £2 which was great considering it came with a Clinique Chubby Stick in 05 Woopin' Watermelon , also a favourite. I mostly just flick through magazines and look at the pictures but in this issue I really liked Dawn O'Porter's article. The Chubby Stick is such a lovely little treat to get with it, it is a lovely pink colour and so lovely and moisturising on your lips.

Staying on the Glamour free gift front last month's edition also had a free gift of the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner. Now this does make eyeliner easy!! I don't have the best of luck with eyeliner but this one is really easy to use,  it is really black and just creates a perfect line. My only problem with  this really is that it does dry out quite quickly, sometimes when I am half way through applying I have to give it a really good shake which is annoying.

This month England has been hot hot hot and that has meant that I have turned into a very greasy oily mess so when it comes to foundation I have been really loving the Bare Minerals Original SPF Foundation. This is a powder foundation, which means that it leaves me with a good level of coverage but also it stays in place so that oil doesn't creep through as much! I do really like using a powder foundation, but it can sometimes be a little too much and feeling cakey on my skin!! This has SPF 15 in which is fab because it means I don't have to worry about putting an SPF on in this hot weather.

My last beauty favourite goes to a little bronzer which I have fallen in love with and that is the Natural Collection Suntint Bronzing Powder in Sun Shine. What I like about this bronzer is that although it is slightly shimmery it doesn't end up looking like you have bits of glitter all over your face! This isn't really practical for contouring but what I have been using it for is just dusting it all over my face to give a beautiful summer glow. This is a really good quality product and I also think it is only about £2, which is just beyond cheap!!

Onto random favourites and my main favourite has been my new blender! I saw Tanya Burr use this in a juicing video and had also read good things about this online so decided to give it a go, and it is the Breville Blend- Active Personal Blender. I have been on a bit of health kick recently, I have joined a gym and I am just trying to eat a little more cleanly and this blender is really helping! I have been really liking making smoothies with frozen fruit, I really like mango, and then blending that up with either almond milk or coconut water depending on what I have around. The blender itself is really good, your smoothie is ready in seconds and you can just drink straight out of the container which saves on washing up!!

I have a movie favourite this month and I can't actually express how much I love this film!! I went to see this film at the most beautiful cinema in Brighton called the Dukes Of York Picture House Cinema, if you live in or around Brighton and haven't been you must go! It is just a one screen cinema but it is an old theatre and is genuinely stunning. The Film I saw was Boyhood which was a Richard Linklater film following the live of a boy as he grows up. The acting was fabulous, and the story line really sweet. This film was actually filmed over the last 12 years so the actor who played the boy at 6 years old is the same actor right till the end. It is lovely to see this boy grow up, and see the whole family grow and change. I think this has to be my favourite film ever and I can't say enough good things about it, just go and see it! One of the songs in the film Hero by Family of the Year is amazing and I can't stop listening to it so I'll link it below because it is well worth a listen.

OK so that is my July favourites over, I know I say this every month but I can't actually believe it is August already, it is crazy!! Please give me a follow on Bloglovin and make sure you come back to read my next post. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,
